"Lovely popmusic", (Vital Weekly, The Netherlands)

Small color are duo consisting of Yusuke Onishi and Rie Yoshihara based in Yokohama, Japan. They create bright and emotional alternative pop music based on the guitar and voice with such nostalgic accents as the accordion,  toy piano and organ. Despite the heavy emphasis on acoustic instruments Small Color do not shy away from adding electronics to the warm sound palatte.

Onishi is a sound artist, composer and guitarist and the primary producer for Small Color. Yoshihara is an accomplished accordion player and instructor. In Small Color she is responsible for the vocals, atmospheres and art direction. Yoshihara also records under the name Trico! and has released two solo albums for the Flyrec label in japan.

Trico

Inspired by the sounds of her daily life, Rie Yoshihara recorded at her home the album 'Love home' and released from Japanese label flyrec (www.flyrec.com/) in May, 2005. Her song are full of beauty, sadness, painfulness in her daily life with the sound around her and her house, accordion, toy piano, organ, toys, piano, voice and so many her favorite sounds such as cooking! She plays and sings so softly and sensitive, that way makes her unique quiet and gentle world. Her song was collected in Australian compilation “adds to friends” in April, 2007. 2nd album 'Everyday trip' was released on 6th Sep 2008.
