With a following to rival flamenco, the haunting melodies of Portuguese fado (traditional Portuguese folk-blues) hold listeners spellbound. Claudia Aurora is its powerful new voice. Her award-winning debut album Silencio (2010) wowed the critics as the first collection of original fado songs to be recorded in the UK. She grew up in a tiny village just outside Porto, yet only began to sing fado when she had settled in Bristol.
Claudia will be launching her debut album, "Silêncio" which had been re-recorded and licensed by the Prestigious World Village/Harmonia Mundi to a world distribution.
